The skeletal remains of a 4′-tall, 110 lb. female hominid that walked erect 4.4-million yrs. ago, have been unearthed in Ethiopia. The oldest creature thought to be an ancestor of man, she beats out the previous title-holder, “Lucy”, by a million years.
