Way back in 1793, French revolutionaries ransacked the Royal basilica of Saint-Denis. They opened the tomb of Henry the Great, and found a perfectly preserved body, as if he had died yesterday. They took the body out and leaned it vertically against a wall for everyone to admire … then they cut off his head! Recently, a team of researchers have discovered that a 400-year-old skull hidden in an attic does, in fact, belong to France’s King Henri IV — solving a centuries-old mystery.
