Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell is a witch–or isn’t she? The better question: Is she qualified to hold high public office? Meanwhile, in Ohio, Congressional candidate Rich Iott enjoys dressing up as a member of the 5th SS Wiking Panzer Division, an elite Nazi unit during World War II. We haven’t seen this many lunatics out for public office since the gubernatorial recall election in California in 2003, or brash and brazen Sarah Palin, now a figure of wealth and importance, for VP. Constituents, the circus may be back in town, but these Tea Party candidates are well funded contenders for major offices!

Karl Rove is back orchestrating Republican fundraising. He reputedly raised a quarter billion from unnamed lobbyists and fat cats (due to a recent Supreme court ruling – loophole – secret political contributions are now possible) to fund ads in the critical last weeks before elections. And what about the chutzpah of Clarence Thomas’ Tea Party activist wife, Virginia, calling Anita Hill for an apology!
